Last week was that time of the year again – Berlin Fashion Week frenzy, buzz, parties, events, runway shows and more fashion shows. This year I took it upon myself to take a more relaxed approach to fashion week and declined most invitations. I wanted to have time to still go to uni and choose only a handful of events that seemed most interesting for me. Nevertheless my schedule was pretty exciting and still quite packed. Here is the first post of my fashion week adventures. Let’s get started!
Day 1 for me started with a major hungover after a night out with K-Swiss (more on that in a separate post!) but I made it out of bed to my favorite menswear label every single fashion week: Sopopular.

First of all congrats to Sopopular’s runway show! In the previous years Sopopular always had their presentations in the Stage of #mbfwb. This year the label booked the runway. Usually I always leave the show starstruck with a mental overflowing wardrobe consisting of what I’d order for my future hubby/boyfriend. This year however I wasn’t to blown away, although there were 1 or 2 pieces that would have made the list. Usually Sopopular ALWAYS has the dopest soundtrack to its show, this year it was a rather boring show. FW15/16 for Sopopular is pretty much all black errthaang, hence the name of the collection “Revolution Noir”. The statement pieces of the collection were probably the see-through outerwear pieces, but my main it-piece has to be the handmade jumper with rope-like details attached to it.
APPLAUSE APPLAUSE APPLAUSE! One of the very few shows I loved that week. The collection was amazing, the pieces beautiful and I loved the silhouettes and color palette, as well as Kilian Kerners playful take on mix and patterns. The setting and the live set by the swedish duo Hotlane all accompanied and complemented the feel to the collection well.
Oh Kilian you’re killian me!
The Aftershow Party I heard turned into a blast after a few hours. I know because my girl Larissa was so drunk and having the time of her life, she didn’t meet at my last rendez-vous point (scroll to bottom). But the girl held her liquor 😀
I NEVER go to an event alone, I ALWAYS have a +1 covered, just like us girls don’t go to the bathroom alone. But Monday night I ended up with a dead phone and my plus 1 being anywhere but next to me. So I decided to go in, on my own. Just to charge my phone at least, so in case I got raped on my way home, I could at least call my mama. Desperate times call for desperate measures. But it turns out it was a good decision to go in on my own. I immediately met an old friend who introduced me to some of his new pals who happened to have worked on the movie. The music at the party was dope and except for Eko Fresh (who hung out in the secret room aka the smoking cave; yes, it was just a tiny room ready to suffocate you on smoke. And I know this because I have my sources 😉 ) I saw all the actors, some big German youtubers, movie people, crew and more ‘famous’ actors & actresses. Every one was down for a good time celebrating the Berlin Premiere of the movie.
Now on unfortunately I came past the allowed picture taking time, so I don’t have any pictures to show you from the party. And since my phone was charging somewhere at the bar I couldn’t even take selfies with the bae
Kostja Ullman boyfriend.
But here is a little gossip from the party:
1. Kostja Ullman is bae in real life.
2. Simon Desue drunk is crazy! He definitely was having a major fun.
3. Ado Kojo reminds me of my friend Diego. Looks + the way they are.
4. Sherezade is a drama queen. She was having
boy man trouble.
5. Moe from Kiss FM doesn’t mind being a one man show at a party. He won’t let anyone rain on his parade when he’s up for a good time 😀
6. I went to the party/club/bar ALONE. Like a MOF (don’t know what that is in english but it comes close to the #foreveralone meme)
