How is your new week going? I can still feel the aftermath of my workout with Nike last Thursday. Trust me, my glutes were burning and my butt feels sore. I was able to test the new NTC app in its full new glory in some of Nike’s latest collection while being guided through the workout by the amazing Nada Ivanovic, one of Nike’s very own trainers. (Just when you think you feel like throwing the towel, she will keep you motivated to keep fighting. There is no giving up when she says “keep going!” – My butt thanks her now. *praying hands emoji*).
I got a first glimpse at the app and its new changes. It’s a completely new app and not just an update. You have to delete the old one in order to use the new one. You can however still log in with your old account details.
Below are the 10 new features of the new version of the app.
10 NEW UPDATES TO THE NEW NIKE NTC APP
1. MORE WORKOUTS
The new NTC App offers over 100+ new workouts created exclusively by Nike trainers based on newest scientific insights and inspired by top athletes like Alison Felix!
The new NTC App no longer excludes our male counterparts from training with us. Grab your brother, your boyfriend, your boy friends and get working!
Ps.: The NTC Berlin Studio now also welcomes boys!
3. INDIVIDUAL WORKOUT PLANS
The new NTC workout plans are individually fitted and personalized just for you and your needs as it takes your current fitness into consideration whilst working towards your personal goals. It’s all about you!
4. THE ULTIMATE EXCUSE-HACK
Sorry no but actually it’s all about bringing out the best in you! The adaptive training grows and evolves with you as it adjusts to individual progress and your changing schedules. Say goodbye to all “Too busy/Got no time”-excuses!
After each workout the app asks for your personal feedback. Your evaluation and input goes into optimizing your next workouts. So be honest! There is no shame in admitting a workout was too hard for you.
6. BETTER AND MORE CLEARER EXPLANATIONS
To avoid any mistakes and highlight form whilst carrying out a workout each exercise is explained precisely as you are guided through. Now you know the drill!
7. NOT LIMITED TO YOUR NTC WORKOUT
The new app allows you to collect credits and points for any extra out-of-app workouts such as runs and hikes you did outside of it, which you can easily add to the app as an additional workout.
8. ATHLETE WORKOUTS
Every week features a new set of workouts recommended by elite athletes. (We tried the Ashton Eaton workout and trust me, there was no one who didn’t break a sweat!)
9. NEW PICTURE FEATURES
This is probably the most fun part! The new app allows you to share pictures and choose from over 30 new stickers plus tagging features to share with the entire community within the app as well as on Social Media. An Instagram like feature for all things sporty spice! I like!
10. REWARDS AS THE ULTIMATE MOTIVATION
Personalized product offers, NTC live updates and a social activity feed have been added just to keep you motivated. 24/7!!
