I returned to the IFA site one more time after all my official appointments (on the blog soon!) and I took Nima, my partner in crime, with me. We were back for Monster’s Keynote speech, Xzibit, Swizz Beatz and a aftershow party with the Monster team and guests hosted by Xzibit himself. I really enjoyed the presentation by Noel Lee, founder of Monster, who was cool enough to show up on his roller that has golden wheels. He actually stayed on that roller for the entire day. How awesome? Anyway Susanne did not make empty promises when she told me that Monster had something special and interesting prepared for their Keynote speech which was the perfect mix of performance, arts & fashion and an informative insight into the headphones industry and the world of Monster. Ifa with Monster was fun!
You see fashion & technology are closer linked than you may think. Especially when it comes to headphones.
The show was great: dancers equipped and showcasing the latest Monster products, from Ballet to Hip Hop and a live performance by a band (they were so good!) as well as live sound testing in the front row.
Diamond Tears, my personal favourite (can any girl resist the magic of diamonds? Nope, didn’t think so..), now come in additional colors such as blue and rose gold, which look really great. I even tried on the rose gold ones matching to my outfit on the day of my appointment, but my heart belongs to Diamond Tears in crystal.
I’m amazed how stylish Monster Products are. There are headphones for every niche. For example you have the iSport line designed to withstand the challenges of a training e.g. staying in ear or on ear without constantly falling out or off, being waterproof and sweat resistant. You can actually put them in the wash machine! Karim Mosta (He has run the distance of 5x across the globe. Pretty much a legend?!) ambassador of the iSport line was present to share a few words during the Keynote speech. There is a line especially designed for ladies, N-Tune that is directed more at a younger crowd or Inspiration for the music industry or the EA headphones designed for gamers.
Baptiste Giabiconi is the ambassador of the Inspiration headphones. He couldn’t make it to the Keynote speech, but he left a video message. He seems to be going nowhere without them. Which is understandable, they do look hella fresh! They’re my second favourite headphones by Monster. I love the fact that they come with an interchangeable headband piece which means you can personalize them according to your taste and mood anytime. I already noticed Baptiste’s white gold edition of the Inspiration when I met him at the Music Meets Media just a few days before. Inspiration has a clean design with the rectangular shaped over-ear piece.
I guess they’re just really one of my favourite headphones. And Exhibit’s all black bejeweled version is to die for.
After an appearance by Swizz Beatz and Xzibit the Keynote speech closed with a final dance accompanied by live DJ Set before everyone had to chance to meet the men. Although Swizz Beatz was on the run to catch a flight he did take a second to take the uggliest iPhone selfies ever with me and Nima, which of course will never be published! Xzibit was really cool as well.
The party continued in the special Monster press room at the IFA. We were spoiled with music by Monsieur Komplex and lots and lots of delicious finger food, desserts and drinks.
Who could have thought that headphones could be so fashionable?
Check out my insta video for more impression of the party.
