I’m finally sharing my pictures from my very short but sweet trip to Granada. It was a much needed getaway to the country side of Spain Andalusia. I was lucky enough to be Microsoft’s (and yet again a Nokia) guest for their #lumiaingranada trip. I’m pretty sure you’ve been wondering what it was all about, since I have been bombarding you with tumblr-esque pictures on my Insta Feed (@LisforLOIS).
Amongst digital influencers – from mobile photographers (yes, that is a thing!), instagramers and bloggers – from different countries I had the chance to discover Granada through the Lumia 930 mobile. But that wasn’t all.
We had an Adobe photoshop crash course and photography lessons with National Geographic’s very own Stephen Alvarez. We left the house early in the morning, walked around town discovering monuments and side alleys, pretty much ate way too good food, had private flamenco dancers (myself dress up included!), watched a traditional horse show, and stopped along the way to take pictures. Although it felt like we were snapping the same things, the occasional one breaking free from the crowd, we all had so different pictures. So different views.
My favorite part of the day was definitely evaluating the pictures from the competitions, seeing what others had seen that day. You can have a look at the other pictures right here and vote for your favorite to win your own Lumia. And though I had the Lumia 930 only for 48h it quickly felt like me own. As I said in my last Nokia post, I would properly test the phone if I had the chance to again. And I did. Way beyond taking selfies 😉 So many functions especially to get the best out of photography and videos. I’ve already spotted some apps I will be using during next Fashion Week to create runway gifs.
Team Germany was pretty awesome too. Kudos to Pina for picking the right influencers to come along. And thanks to Constantin (OBSESSED with his Insta account @herr_Schiller), Alix and Sarah for the great time. “Nokia – connecting people” – Still giving a big fat AMEN to that!
Btw all pictures in this post (except 5 from my arrival to Spain) were shot entirely with the Lumia 930. I had my big camera with me all along but after snapping the first few pictures I quickly came to the conclusion that it was entirely unnecessary and traded my cam for the phone entirely. It was much better than having to carry my big Canon around with me. I would never make a post consisting of mobile pictures (except for insta recaps, which btw I haven’t done in a long time!) but I’m pretty amazed with the quality of the picture and I feel like they are very much presentable as visual material for a blog post. Also the quality has improved drastically, looking back the private Marcel Ostertag show hosted by Microsoft Lumia I snapped with a Lumia 1020, I remember it being a bit of a struggle.
Brace yourself for a super long travel diary post. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did enjoying snapping them.
Have a wonderful week and feel blessed! Now indulge in my travel photos!
