Last week I attended the premiere of Der Nachtmahr and I was able to take one of you guys, my readers along. But I didn’t just take her to the premiere – I planned something special. A unique experience and a special day. It was a day full of fittings, hair and appointments and of course the premiere and aftershow party. READ to find out more…
FITTING WITH FRENCH CONNECTION
The day started with a fitting at French Connection which I organized for Cagla and me. We were allowed to choose any dress from their entire store for the night.
French Connection is a UK label (don’t be confused by their name!). They offer a lot of beautiful dresses in the lower premium segment. (Ps.: Still looking for a Abiballkleid? Check them out!)
I can’t get over all their pretty dresses girls! Both Cagla and me were 100% happy with our choices.
Keep reading to see what we picked for the night!
HAIR BY EBIL HAIR AND BEYOND
Next stop on the list was a visit to Ebil Hair & Beyond. It’s a hair salon located right at the Hackescher Markt and worth every penny for a visit.
After blow drying we did a little brainstorming and went for a top hair French braid to get the hair out of her beautiful face and leave room for stunning statement earrings. We decided to leave Cagla’s rest of the hair out make it all a little more effortless.
Thommy straightened the rest to make it more sleek in contrast to the messy braid.
If you decided to go to Ebil request an appointment with Thommy Momsen! Trust me, you won’t regret it.
GOODIES BY L’OREAL PARIS
L’Oreal Paris was kind enough to pack a little goodie bag for my reader Cagla. It was packed with their latest products! How lush is the lip palette?! I’m really loving the Color Riche La Palette Lip. It looks so luxurious and comes in nude and in red and Cagla is lucky to own both. The goodie bag also included three of their newest nail polishes (Color Riche Le Vernis L’Huile) in two different red shades and a hot pink, as well as the Nude Magique Cushion foundation and the False Lash Superstar Red Carpet mascara, perfect because we walked the red carpet that night.
Every outfits needs the right accessories to finish off the look. Stella&Dot sent over so many gorgeous necklaces, rings and bracelets in almost every style – from simple and filigran to big bold stament pieces, from silver to gold for Cagla and me! There was no way we wouldn’t find something matching. Cagla loved the pieces and so did I.
Stella&Dot is not your ordinary jewelry label. Founded in 2004 by Jessica Herrin, the award winning label is based on a quite different approach to shopping experience- the so called trunk shows. Stella&Dot stylists basically hosts parties and get-togethers at home where you can shop the pieces in a familiar atmosphere. I think it’s pretty much a shopping pyjama party with your girls! You can however also shop the pieces directly online.
SHUTTLED AROUND BY BLACKLANE
To have your own personal shuttle service for a day is a dream come true!
Blacklane is a high-end shuttle service. You’ll be picked up by a guy in a suit, a high class black car with the most comfortable interior and a Vogue and a bottle of cooled water in the backseat of your car. While booking you can choose from three classes: business class, business van or first class. Trust me your business class experience feels very first class!
Our first driver was the cutest! We were lucky to meet him on two of our rides. Easiest way to book your ride is through the phone app, but you can also book them online.
Make sure to book an appointment on time! Every ride needs to be booked at least an hour prior to your ride, which makes it all a little inflexible but it’s more for the organized woman/man, who loves a little luxury.
We got stranded on our way to the afterparty since we couldn’t find our driver and the customer service couldn’t locate him either. Booking a new ride was not an option since the earliest next ride can only be booked an hour ahead. As I said make sure to book your ride early enough and check your confirmation mails!
Being able to be driven home after the aftershow party was hands down the best service ever.
The premiere itself of Der Nachtmahr was quite fun. Loaded with popcorn it was funny to see myself on the big screen and in the credits at the end. (Yes I had a minor, but very important role in the movie. Just kidding! Go watch it in the theaters to see what my ass was doing on the big screen!) I even had to go on stage, while all I could think about was not tripping on my way down in my high heels. In all excitement we forgot to snap the usual red carpet selfie and picture, but we were shot for wagg.de
The movie: It’s about a young girl lost in Berlin’s nightlife and techno scene. She starts to become delusional as she believes to see a creature/monster (Der Nachtmahr) and from there it all escalates very quickly…
It’s very Berlin and it leaves you confused at the end posing the question: Reality vs hallucination..What really is real? You’ll think about the movie even days after.
It’s very indie and art house and not your usual mainstream movie. Akiz Ikon created something quite special.
The movie is now out in theaters in Germany!
THE AFTERSHOW PARTY
The Aftershow party went down at the IPSE, right next to the Spree. All the actors were present as well as the entire cast&crew. The music was the best! Sickest tunes.
SO MUCH FUN!
We danced until 3am, then had pizza before our Blacklane driver picked us up and drove us home.
Straight into my bed..
Let’s talk about our looks and take a closer look at our make up.
I went for a blue aqua look to complement the dress I picked from French Connection. The red lipstick finishes of the look so well. I couldn’t help but pair it with L’Oreal’s latest nail polish invention – the first nail polishes with oil in the color 522. Plus they smell like their lipsticks too! I’m sold!
Also Cagla was feeling blue. She opted for a blue lipstick. A bold choice!
Life is too short to be boring. I loved the look on her and she looked fantastic.
Watch I Uhr: Michael Kors
Belt I Gürtel: ASOS
Jewelry I Schmuck: THANKS TO Stella&Dot
Jewelry I Schmuck: THANKS TO Stella&Dot
As you already know we were lucky enough to have a fitting at French Connection and choose a dress for the night.
I picked the blue dress from French Connection which immediately caught my eye as I entered the store. Sticking to the theme blue, I wore my turqouise strappy heels from Missguided. My gold clutch, which was a present adds a nice subtle touch to my entire look. Accessorize, accessorize, accessorize! All from Stella&Dot of course.
Cagla went for a cute greyish/khaki blouse, which we styled up with a black little belt to give it all more shape. Paired with the a black leather jacket and strappy heels, the look had to come together with big from statement earring from Stella&Dot. Also can we please take a minute to appreciate Cagla’s hair? Over all I’m so happy how both final looks turned out.
You can find both dresses at French Connection – Mall of Berlin LP12 first floor.
HUGE Huge huge ass thanks to all my sponsors for making this an unique experience! A warm felt thank you also Cagla for being kind, easy and so much fun to be around with that entire day. I think it’s safe to say we had SO MUCH FUN!
