When L’Oréal Paris asked me if I wanted to discover their latest designer collaboration exclusively before anyone else in Germany and give away two sets to you guys, I couldn’t say no because the designer in question is no one other than: Isabel Marant. Yes you heard right – cool girl French chic Isabel Marant. No one does the natural “be who you are”– look so well as Isabel Marant, which is why you hardly see any makeup on her runway models. And that’s been like that for years! I was super excited to see what the Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris collaboration would look like and how to finally get the French je ne sais qoui vibe. Trust me the collection called Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris WANTED did not disappoint me.

Isabel Marant’s approach to beauty has always been very natural, very je ne sais qoui. No one embodies the French-Girl cool, as effortlessly through her designs as Isabel Marant. Effortless, natural, undone. Parisian Cool. This aesthetics follow suit right into the way she defines and presents beauty. I have always admired the way Isabel Marant portrays the Female – The Feminine. She is herself at all ages, all ethnicities. She is not masked in layers of makeup, she embraces her self and that without even trying at all. The Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris collection is a reflection of her vision: effortless, subtle with a touch of bold.
ISABEL MARANT x L’Oréal Paris Limited Edition
I personally am a huge fan of L’Oréal Paris’ Color Riche line as I find they have great pigmentation, feel soft on the lips and keep them hydrated as well. I personally love wearing ‘No. 349 Paris Cherry‘ (also named Cherry Front Row) which could easily fit into this collection. Isabel Marant x L’Oreal Paris lipsticks from the Wanted collection are called SMILE lipsticks and is made up of a range of 7 shades in total. The colors are very Isabel Marant – perfect to recreate her no makeup-makeup she keeps presenting in her runway shows – two nude shades and the rest are burnt reds perfect for Fall. Fun fact: all the SMILE lipsticks have a little message on the cap saying “Wear nothing but a smile and your style. Wear nothing but a smile and some style. Wear nothing but a smile.”

THE AMAZE MULTI TALENT GLOSS![]()
The AMAZE lipgloss from the Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris collection had me little confused at first, as the packaging reads “Cheeks, they are all the craze!” I naturally assumed it was a cheek product. Reading the description on Douglas though (it’s listed as a lipgloss), made me realize it can actually be used on the lips as well. Although it does look like a lipgloss to be honest. On the cheeks it has a glossy effect, perfect for recreating the “wet” look. I imagine it looking really nice on the eyelids as well. It’s very sheer and more of a sheen than a full colored gloss. The color Canyon Avenue has a nice litte pink hue. I appreciate the fact that beauty products are becoming more versatile and flexible. It’s meant to be used multi-purposely. – ca. 10€
THE BROW MASCARA
As I said beauty products are becoming more versatile, more multi-functional, with the intension to be used however as pleased. The WANTED Brow mascara is a transparent brow gel great to fix your brow hairs in place. Isabel Marant has numerous times showcased big brows, furry brows, natural brows on the runway. Her looks have never been about the perfectly shaped “eyebrows on fleek”. You can easily use the Brow Mascara to style your natural eyebrows and recreate the Cara Delevingne era circa 2011/2012. But it can also be used as mascara on your lashes, which gives them a volume effect without painting them pitch black, but keeping your lashes in its natural color. I think you’re slowly getting the gist of the Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris collection. It’s all about staying and being natural, natural, natural.. – ca. 10€
THE HIGH
-LIGHTER
The Isabel Marant x L’Oréal Paris WANTED highlighter is called SHINE and acts as a primer as well. It’s very soft; this cream to powder finish. I personally am not a huge fan of this product as I expected it to be a highlighter, and I like my highlighters popping. But I suppose it’s supposed to give more of a natural glow effect. It will probably have a more magical effect on light skin. Other than that I can also image using it as an eyeshadow base. I haven’t tried it that way yet though!
