Malone Souliers.. Oh Malone Souliers! I cannot wait to wear these shoes out this summer. On a late summer night out, as I sip some wine and eat olives with bae. I’ll remember the music that plaid in the background and the laughs we shared, how cute he looked in his shirt and the dress I wore. We’d go for a walk looking where the night would carry us until my feet cannot carry me no more.
‘How silly of me to think I could last all day in these heels’, I’d think. Sure the were comfortable, but I wouldn’t last all day in heels not even in my comfiest pair. He’d stop for me to take them off, his hand in one and the shoes in my other, as we’d wander off into the night carefree as ever.
One day I’ll give those shoes to my daughter and the sight of them will flush back all those memories leaving me reminiscent of moments I had in them, of that special night too..
These shoes are special.
I want the things in my closet to be special again and not own a bunch of meaningless clothes I only wear once just for them to end of in the back of my closet all purchased solely to conform to society’s “must-haves” and unspoken rule of the more the merrier fed through this obnoxious idea of consumerism.
Do the things in your closet still have any meaning to you? Is there like that one piece that brings back all the memories of a certain day, a moment or a person you shared it with?
That T-Shirt you just can’t through away anytime spring cleaning comes around because you wore it the day your cat died or you had your first kiss in..?
I want these shoes to become such a piece in my closet..
